Our goal
Our target is conformance with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. We consider accessibility when we design and build each page, and we review pages as the site changes.
What we’ve done
- Pages use clear headings, landmarks and labels so screen readers can navigate them.
- Everything works with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline and a “Skip to content” link.
- Form fields have labels, and errors are explained in text next to the field.
- Text and controls are designed for readable color contrast, and pages reflow on phones and when zoomed to 200% or more.
- Images we add have text descriptions, and decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- Animations are turned off for people who set “reduce motion” on their device.
Known limitations
- Provider photos: photos uploaded by providers may not include detailed descriptions. Listing text describes each home, and we’re working to add better photo descriptions.
- Third-party pages: the Google sign-in page is run by Google and follows Google’s accessibility practices, not ours. You can always sign up with an email and password instead.
- Map view: the map on Browse Providers is visual. The list view shows the same homes, with distances when you search near a ZIP code.
- Robot check: some forms may show a Cloudflare check. It usually completes on its own; if it doesn’t work for you, contact us and we’ll help another way.
Tell us about a barrier
If you have trouble using any part of HavenMatch, or need information in a different format, use the Contact page and tell us the page, what you were trying to do and the device or assistive technology you use. If the Contact form itself is the problem, include what you can and we’ll follow up. We’ll respond within 5 business days.
